Hi

This blog is lonely now. *sad face*

Rest assured, I will still update my workouts. Thus far I have lost 20 pounds.

Unfortunately, there is not a "bicycle" option. I rode my bike the other morning (40 degrees - meh) and it went really well. My thighs were burning like FIRE.

Anyway, I'm kicking ass and taking names. What about you?

Best Walk Ever

Distance: 2 miles
Time: 0 hour(s), 48 minutes and 25 seconds

Finally got on my treadmill tonight. Things have been crazy since we sold the house and moved. Now that it's all done, I have no excuses for not going on the treadmill.

Falling off the wagon...

... and getting back on again. I started the Couch to 5k program (c25k) but I think I felt some slight hints of shin splints so I stopped. It actually felt great running again but the slight tinge of pain really bothered me and instantly took the wind out of my sails. So for about a month I have done... nothing. I've done nothing except eat, play video games and just be lazy.

So, I've mustered up my motivation again and will try again. I guess that's just what it takes, is a good kick in the pants and trying again until I find my groove. I haven't found it yet. I heart running but as of late, it doesn't heart me and I think that has some to do with my weight gain.

I threw out the junk food in my fridge, that felt good.

Now, I just need to plan and stick to it.

Kansas City Half Marathon

Distance: 13.1 miles
Time: 3 hour(s), 36 minutes and 58 seconds
Pace: 16 minutes and 34 seconds per mile

Misty and I walked the half marathon, and we made pretty good time. Of course my hip started hurting, and I got a couple painful blisters on my foot. But really that is not too bad, and not surprising. Overall I am glad it's over! lol

She's going the distance

Distance: 8 miles
Time: 2 hour(s), 19 minutes and 0 seconds
Pace: 17 minutes and 23 seconds per mile

I finally got around to doing longer distance. I just went about 8 miles, but I don't have an exact distance or time because my treadmill is stupid and resets itself after 100 minutes. My feet and legs are definitely sore. I only have 3 weeks to be able to go 13 miles.

week 6 day 6 - p90x

So to make up for the weekend and to catch up to my schedule I pulled a double today, with a total workout time of close to 2 1/2 hours of working out, shouldn't have trouble sleeping tonight!

This marked my halfway point through the p90x lean program, two more weeks and I'll be 1/4 through my entire p90x challenge (to complete 90 day p90x lean followed by 90 day p90x classic)

This morning was Legs and Back followed by Ab Ripper X, tonight was Kenpo X and I'm still alive!

p90x - Core Synergistics

Today was the start of Month 2 week 2, or my 6th week of p90x. I rearranged my workout schedule so that my weeks begin on Tuesdays. This way my rest day is Mondays, as I am at WHS from 8-4 and then in class from 6-9.

Today was core synergistics, this is my 6th time doing this particular workout and it has not gotten any easier!

Getting ready for the 10k on Saturday

Distance: 6 miles
Time: 1 hour(s), 43 minutes and 0 seconds
Pace: 17 minutes and 10 seconds per mile

This is the farthest I have gone in a long time.... 6 miles. The 10k on Saturday is about 6 miles, so at least I know I can do it without collapsing! Now my goal is just to beat my time today!

One month down

Today was the last workout of the first month for p90x. I still haven't gotten around to taking any measurements and I might still hold off on that until the end of month 2. Things are going to get a lot tougher now, not just the workouts, but trying to balance my practicum, school, and work hours, as well as getting in an hour long workout each day!

Distance: 2 miles

It's been a week since I got on the treadmill. I can't let that much time go by in between! I think I'm going to sign up for a 10k run on Sept 12th.
